Do you offer consultations for your services?

Yes, consultations are offered.  Consultations are free of charge.  You can pick a consultation setting of your choice such as; face-to-face( in person) or video-conference. During your consultation, we will discuss services that you would need and pricing.

What is your new client procedure?

Once your consultation is complete an appointment will be set-up for you. At your first appointment we will go over new client paper work, and discuss your form of  payment.

Do you travel to your clients?

Yes. We travel to you, to render services. The services that are provided are to assist you in areas such as transportation, medication pickup, grocery shopping, as well as your care at home. There is a mileage fee for traveling to clients. The standard rate for traveling is 65 cents per mile. When we discuss a package plan we will set a flat rate for your special package plan. If your caregiver is traveling to you to provide services and you need to cancel your appointment we ask that you cancel the day before.


If the caregiver travels 30+ miles to you and you cancel while the caregiver is in transit or made it your place of residence, you will be charged 50% of the cost of your scheduled appointment.  


When you are traveling with your caregiver, there will be complementary water or drinks of your choice. Also, for postpartum services, there will be complimentary baby wipes and diapers, and you can breast pump if you need to.  A mask will be provided if you would like to wear a mask. You will always have a choice. In addition, we are a non-judgement zone.

Do you travel to other states?

We do not travel to other states at this time. In the near future we do plan to travel to other states. When we begin to travel to other states and expand our company; we will adjust accordingly and update our website to correlate with where we serve.

What is your cancellation policy?

Shareem's Touch Love & Care is committed to providing exceptional care. Unfortunately, when one patient cancels without giving enough notice, they prevent another patient from being seen. Please call us at 904-418-1401 by 2:00 p.m. the day before your scheduled appointment to notify us of any changes or cancellations. Please call our office by 2:00 p.m. Friday to cancel a Monday appointment.  Canceling your appointment ahead of time is courteous. As well as, giving the staff enough time to offer the appointment to someone.

If the caregiver travels 30+ miles to you and you cancel while the caregiver is in transit to your place of residence or made it your place of residence, you will be charged 50% of the cost of your scheduled appointment.

 For example: If your appointment is  $160.00, you will be charged an $80.00 convenience fee.

Please be sure to cancel appointments the day before by calling. If no one answers the phone, please leave a voicemail and we will be sure to communicate with the assigned caregiver. 

Are you licensed to provide the services that are offered?

Yes, we are licensed to provide Companionship and Homemaker services in 7 counties in the state of Florida. We are licensed through AHCA. In the State of Florida, the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) is responsible for licensing and regulating Florida’s health care facilities, including long-term and post-acute facilities, hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers, and companionship and homemaker agencies.

What is Companionship and Homemaker Services?

A homemaker does household chores that include housekeeping, cooking, shopping assistance, laundry, and other routine household tasks. In addition to the above, a companion may provide companionship for the client such as keeping a person company at home or going with the person to appointments or other outings. The state law says that a homemaker and a companion cannot provide any hands-on personal care to a client under the registration issued by AHCA. Personal care means assistance with the activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, eating, or personal hygiene, and assistance in physical transfer, ambulation, and in administering medication. Personal care cannot be done through this registration

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we do accept private insurance and Medicaid.  During the consultation, we will collect insurance information and verify with your insurance company for coverage. If the insurance company is unable to cover services, we will create a customized package tailored to your needs and finances.

Do you provide transportation services?

Yes, we do provide transportation services.

  • Transportation services are included in our packages. If you do not want to purchase a package and you would just like transportation services; the fee is $0.65/ mile. 

  • We will not transport anyone under the age of 18 unless accompanied by a parent.

  • Transportation services are provided to clients that are postoperative, postpartum, clients that need assistance going to doctor appointments, grocery stores, events, and companionship services

Caregiving Services for Children & Adolescents

We do not offer caregiving services to newborns, toddlers, or adolescents. That is considered childcare. We do not offer childcare services (babysitting services) or transportation services to children. We will not transport anyone under the age of 18 unless accompanied by a parent due to high liability purposes. However, if the mother is postpartum and we are providing postpartum companionship and home support services, we will assist with attending to the household needs. According to the Agency for Health Care Administration, A home support and companion agency is prohibited from providing hands-on personal care according to state law.

What Do you Consider Lighthouse Cleaning

Homeowners should discuss details with the worker to clearly define their preferences and prevent misunderstanding about what light housekeeping entails.


Please see below what light housekeeping duties consist of:


  • Clearing away dishes after meals

  • Washing dishes (Handwash or dishwasher)

  • Cleaning sink

  • Wiping down spills and sanitizing surfaces (Kitchen Counters & Bathroom counters)

  • Changing bed linens

  • Tending to house plants

  • Taking out the trash

  • Cleaning up clutter (Toys in children’s room)

  • Sweeping and vacuuming floors

  • Organizing closets and drawers

  • Laundry

  • Mopping floors

Do you deep clean homes?

No. Companionship Service Team Members are not housekeepers, maids, or nannies. Our team members are Caregivers. Our caregivers are not permitted to perform the following duties:


  • ​Deep Cleaning- Consists of removal of:

  • Garbage (hoarding)

  • Washing Windows

  • Washing Baseboards

  • Washing Walls

  • Cleaning Refrigerator & Freezer

  • Cleaning Carpet

  • Clean and disinfect toothbrush holders

  • Clean air vents from the ceiling.

  • Wash trash can

  • clean glass and mirrors.

  • Reorganize Cabinets-Kitchen & Bathroom

  • Moving Furniture

Clients Services On Holidays And Holiday Weekends

We do not provide services on Holidays and Holiday Weekends. We do this to allow our employees to enjoy the holidays with their families. The employees have a choice to work holidays and holiday weekends. It is not mandatory for the employee to work holidays. . However, the pay will be doubled if a caregiver is assigned to a client for the holiday or holiday weekend.

Holidays that are considered Holidays:

  • January 1- New years

  • Good Friday- The Friday before Easter Sunday

  • May 29- Memorial Day

  • July 4- Independence Day

  • Thanksgiving Day

  • Black Friday

  • Christmas Day

Do you offer Pet Care?

Yes, we offer pet care if the client has a pet. Pet care is $20.00 per in-home care visit
